This Ideal Security 9609 Top and Bottom Storm Door Closer Kit for Heavy Storm Doors is designed to replace door closers that are mounted on the top and bottom of full view storm doors, also known as full light or all glass storm doors, that measure up to 1.5 “thick. One of the storm door closers is equipped with the Touch-N-Hold feature and the other storm door closer is equipped with a standard hold open washer. This double door closer set is not an alternative replacement for Ideal Security’s 3015 Heavy Storm Door Closer with Torsion Bar. To use this kit, your existing storm door must be equipped with two storm door closers. This kit includes 1 x 9W Standard Storm Door Closer in white and 1 x 9600W Standard Door Closer with Touch-N-Hold feature in white along with installation instructions, brackets, and replacement screws. With the Touch-N-Hold feature, a simple push of a button allows you to keep the door open, and simply push the door open a bit and release to close. For ease of use and to allow for foot operation, we recommend installing the 9600W Storm Door Closer with the Touch-N-Hold feature on the lower portion of your door. If, for any reason, the metal hold open washer is engaged on the 9W standard closer, ensure that it has been pushed back into the "OFF" position before attempting to close the door. Forcing the door closed with the washer engaged will damage the closer.
