300 SERIES STAINLESS FASTENERS
Type of Fastener
A, AB, B, Number 14 Diameter
Type of Material
Fasteners are to be made from a good quality cold heading wire type 304. 304 is utilized
to maximize hardness during the cold heading process. These harder threads provide
maximum strip out values higher than other types of stainless wires.
Type of Plating
X-Tend finish provides two layers of protection. The top seal is an effective
barrier to the environmental elements present. While the zinc layer
affords a secondary layer for even further protection. These two layers work
together to provide an exceptionally corrosion resistant coating.
Tool Selection
An electric screwgun with a variable speed of 0-1000 RPM is the suggested tool.
Recommend Usage
Type A to be used for sheet to sheet application. Type AB to be used for sheet to sheet or
sheet to light gauge structural. Type B to be used for heavy gauge structural steel.
